MASCED Accreditation

The weather is currently looking sunny and warm for the next few days so I strongly recommend covering up and put on the suncream to protect the skin. Sun protection is very important if you spend time outdoors.


As a soft tissue therapist I am in a position of being able to spot potential issues with my clients skin during sports massage and soft tissue therapy treatments in difficult to see areas. For another year, I have renewed my accreditation with MASCED (Melanoma and Skin Cancer Early Detection). This programme has been developed by national melanoma and skin cancer charity, Skcin.


The course helps me to identify the early signs and symptoms of skin cancer such as changing skin blemishes or conditions in particular hard to see areas for clients so that I can recommend when clients should approach their GP for advice.
